Pirate Day
19th September 2016
Talk like a Pirate Day!
We had a dress up day, full of Pirate fun which included: Making maps, creating treasure, reading pirate stories, discovering how to talk and act like a pirate and creating a Pirate ship.
Christmas & Graduation
6th December 2016
Crookwell Early Learning Christmas Concert and Preschool Graduation was on Tuesday December 6, 2016.
We celebrated Christmas with their families by putting on a concert of Christmas songs.
The educators then marked a wonderful transition for the pre-schoolers moving forward into their journey, next year.

Nursing Home Visits

Happy New Year! This year we have organised regular visits to our local nursing home, Viewhaven.
All the children were excited to participate in the Yoga Program with the residents.
There are many benefits combining Aged Care and Childcare which include:
-Positive interaction and communication
-Being active participants in local community
-Gain and engage in new experiences
-learning new activities and participation
-self-confidences and enthusiasm for learning

Making Learning Visible

Sensory Learning has shaped our Discovery Room program for the first term. Touch, Feel and Discover as the 0-3year olds began the year with exploring senses. The educators set as many different experiences of the children's learning interests in sensory exploration.
They children loved playing with water and sand as they experimented with the two.
We explored other experiences of water, sand, ice, rice and dirt- as the children had lots of experimenting, investigating and learning about their senses.
We explored the outdoors in nature, used our fresh produce from the garden and chickens and was involved in music and movement.
